Body, Mind & Soul

BODY

Gardening is physical.

Digging, carrying, reaching, pouring, planting and creating provide opportunities for movement, coordination, sensory input and purposeful work.

MIND

Gardens require us to notice, wonder, problem solve, wait, adapt and try again.

Things don’t always grow the way we planned.

That’s part of the lesson.

SOUL

There is something restorative about being connected to living things.

Nature gives us space for wonder, beauty, quiet, meaning and connection—to ourselves, to others and to something beyond ourselves.
